Types of Visits (ask admissions which ones they do and what they do that's special at each kind)

-Open House
-Special Interest Visit
-Student for a Day/Shadow a student
-Group Presentation/Tour
-Individual Appointment

When To Visit

Best Times:
-Spring of Junior Year in High School and late summer before senior year through early Fall of Senior Year in High School

Worst Times:
-When colleges aren't in session:  Thanksgiving, Christmas week, Winter & Spring Breaks
-When classes are not scheduled:  Reading period, Exam Week, Saturdays and Sundays
-When the admissions office is closed.

Campus Visit Etiquette

-Attend a formal admissions presentation & tour
-Ask questions
-Explore on your own:  student center, dining areas, library...
-Listen and talk to students:  ask them what they like or do not like about the school
-Drive or walk around the neighborhood surrounding the campus
-Make additional appointments with admissions, financial aid, academic departments, & special programs in which you are interested
